new versa owner here, saying hi! any tips?

hi there...

I just bought an 08 Versa SL in super black on Thursday! I'm madly in love with the car, and am excited to get started with some simple mods. Thanks so much to everyone who has posted tutorials, theyre amazing! I'm going to paint my engine cover tomorrow!

Anyone have any input, tips, or other info they've picked up as seasoned Versa owners? Anyone in the Pittsburgh/Western PA area??

also, where can i pick up a Tiida badge?

I checked au austrailia ebay site, and googled it... not havng any luck thus far.

i like the tiida badge just because it will confuse the hell out of people. I think changing the badge on your car is generally lame, but since the versa and the tiida are pretty much the same thing it negates the lameness. lol. Though I just spent the past half hour trying to remove the VERSA - i got the letters off with goo gone, but theres still a good deal of adhesive that just wont budge. I might have to try a heat gun on a low setting and see how that works.

I've been driving carefully, seeing as the reason i got this car was the fact that i was in an accident 2 weeks ago where my Elantra was totaled (not my fault).

Annnnd, actually a Honda Fit was my first choice, but the HP seemed really low, and the price tag a little too high. And a friend at a Nissan dealer got me a really good deal on the versa!

try a good cleaner wax (the stuff for getting road tar and dried grease off) on the adhesive. If that doesn't work try a FINE rubbing compound.

Wha'd ya pay? I got my 07 hatch SL for $14,500 total before taxes which included having the exact model I wanted trucked in from another dealer 450 miles away.
