Hello all! I just recently purchased my girlfriend a 2009 Nissan Versa SL, Super Black with Black interior. She's grown up in a bad environment (both emotionally and financially) and never had anything new to call her own. She lost her old used Acura Integra in a flood and the $6,000 she put into it, so I decided I would do what I could and traded in my 2008 Infiniti G37S in order to get her a car that I knew would be reliable and good on gas (I do have another daily driver though). It was my favorite car and really was a blast, but I care more about the person I love than some machine. She loves it and doesn't want to mod it at all, but I thought with her birthday coming up, I'd like to get her some accessories for her car. What does the Versa community recommend? I'm not looking for anything junky (air freshener or CD organizer) as she won't let me put the Stillen Kit on there, or Eibachs or anything fun. Maybe a nice Nav system or something? Just wondering if there's anything really cool out there you guys have found worth putting in your cars.

Thanks in advance for the responses guys/gals. Look forward to reading!

Congrats on the new V! First of all, what accessories did you get with the SL?

With good taste, I'd go with...

- All around tint- OEM spoiler- OEM interior accent lighting- Garmin Nuvi GPS- Aftermarket horn

I can't think of anything else since she doesn't want to mod the car, you're going to have limited options. Good luck with the car!

Great list! I'm gonna look into the OEM LEDs...any idea where to get those before I go googling?

The accessories we got, I'm trying to remember: ABS brakes, Leather Wheel, Leather Shiftknob (with overdrive control, might be hard to replace), Mudguards, port for an iPod (I could get her one, but usually we just share). Sorry I don't remember the proper names for them

Ok, this is the closest site of the OEM footwell LEDs for the Versa. I can't find any sites that have a cheaper price

Definitely change out the factory horn for an aftermarket one, it's an easy mod and worth it IMO. You can go to checker/schucks/kragen auto parts for it.

The interior lights like the dome and map lights go to V LEDs and you can find them for the versa. I can give you the part number for them. The part number is DE3175 and they take less than 10 minutes to change out.

Other than that, if you have any questions, give me a hola.

Guess I could get the dealer to install the footwell LEDs eh? I'd hate to screw up her new car haha

Yeah, I had the dealer install mine $120 and took a couple hours. That one on the site is the same one I ordered back in December. It will work on the V, it says 350Z on there because it's also for that.

Congrats on the new Versa. I would definitely recommend tinting the windows. That is one mod that looks great and one which your g/f will probably not mind.

I also like what Ginsu said. If you got the technology package that came with satellite radio you could continue her subscription. That would be nice of you!

Window tint, better horn (it's a safety issue) and the rubber strip for the top of the rear bumper to protect it from scratching and gouging. It will keep the car looking better longer.
