I am about to do my turbo set up on my S14 stock. I wanted to know what is the diffrence between 2 1/2" and 3" piping that will be connected from intercooler to turbo and manifold? Can anybody tell me please.

use 2.5" for the i/c piping and 3" for the downpipe.

Another question in regards to the piping that goes from turbo to air filter somebody told me it needed to be a certain length. About 12" to 16" because the ECU needs to be able to read a certain amount of air ?? Does that sound right?

You must be referring to the MAFS. I would put it at least 8"-12" away from the turbo inlet.
