Hey guys I got a new Tuner system called NIStunes. This is a system that has been tested it seem to have a great tuning option that is promising. We will be trying this new system on a SR20det redtop engine which is stock. Ill keep you guys up dated

NIStune uses emulators or one daughterboard along with specialized software to provide tuning capabilities including map tracing and real time editing of maps, constants and tables for your Nissan ECU. All changes are made in real time so you can feel the engine change and watch the outputs from the all sensors while adjustments are made. There is three levels of for different type of Nissan ECU

NIStune Type 1 Board

Type 1 boards cover the following earlier non-consult vehicles:CR31 Skyline (RB30E)VL Commodore (RB30E)VL Turbo Commodore (RB30ET)Z31 300ZX (VG30E, VG30ET) 1984-1985, 1986, 1987-1989A31 Cefiro (RB20DET)J30 Maxima (VG30E)S12 Gazelle (CA18)S13 Silvia (CA18)S13 Stanza (KA24E)N12 Pulsar Exa (E15ET)N13 Pulsar (CA18DE)This is a first for older non-consult ECUs! You can now view and log RPM, Speed, AFM voltage, O2 sensor, Temperature, Battery, Timing and various switch settings. Diagnostic Terminal Codes can monitored and cleared. You can also perform real time tuning with this board! This board along with the NIStune software provides consult capabilities (including Diagnostic reporting) and maptracing for non-consult Nissan ECUs NIStune Type 2 Boards Type 2 boards cover the following earlier consult vehicles:

M30 Infiniti (VG30DE)Z32 Fairlady 300ZX (VG30DETT)HCR32 Skyline (RB20DET)BNR32 Skyline (RB26DETT)U12 Bluebird (KA24E)NIStune uses a daughterboard as an alternative to an emulator or EPROM chip for realtime tuning using a modified version of Nissan Consult. It provides faster transfer rates, realtime modification of maps, constants and tables using the NIStune software.

NIStune Type 3 Boards Type 3 boards cover the following earlier consult vehicles:S13 180SX (SR20DET)S13 Silvia (SR20DE,DET)S13 240SX (KA24DE)U13 Bluebird (SR20DET)B13 Sentra (SR20DE)S14 Silvia (SR20DET) [early model]N14 Pulsar (SR18DE, SR20DE)RNN14 Pulsar (SR20DET)Z32 Fairlady 300ZX (VG30DETT) [Late model] NIStune uses a daughterboard for realtime tuning using a modified version of Nissan Consult. It provides faster transfer rates, realtime modification of maps, constants and tables using the NIStune software.Emulation (Intronics Romulator / Moates Ostrich)

For those who wish to use emulation instead of built in boards

Using a single emulator will allow you to realtime tune your 8-bit ECU board using the Consult for ECU status and accurate maptracing. Note that some older ECUs do not have native Consult support and require a Type 1 board.Note: Just ordered a Moates V2.0 emulator which provides hardware (4 cell) maptracing! We will be adding this soon into NIStuneNote: You can use your existing Zemulator romualtor with consult for accurate maptracing and more features, including AFR overlaying! Using dual emulators combined with a commercially available daughterboard for 16-bit ECUs using Consult for ECU status and accurate maptracing. Emulation (CalumSult RealTime Board)We can confirm that NIStune software is now compatible with CalumSult realtime boards. This means that you no longer have to use three separate programs to emulate, datalog, maptrace and read wideband readings on. NIStune integrates all the data together in one package and can display and datalog all information together.

Any questions PM me

mine is in the mail on my way to my house I have read around on other boards and it seems to work awesome no problems really better than bikirom from what most people say and right next to calumsult I like the idea that you can change it at anytime you want or upgrade anything and the program seems to be pretty straight forward and easy to use.

Are you Using it on the DE or E? I'm interested in this as well, and seems even my wallet could swing it. What all are you getting so i can be sure I've been reading this correctly. So far, i need 2 Emulators, the program, usb adapter, and maybe some sleep. STaying up till 2-30 reading this stuff maybe actually hurtting me lol.

the daugther boards run 220.00 for the s13 ecm's. the software is 200.00 so a total of 420.00 its the most advanced rom editing software available with a user friendly interface. not to mention the installation process is in my opinion simplier than the calum realtime.

I don't know how the base maps are, I'm gonna be ordering mine in a week or two. I'm still tring to find resources to learn how to creat my own maps. lucky for my i need board 1 which is for the non consult ecu, my kit comes with the cables total is 370 plus the shipping and paypal. i'll be toying with the softwear all winter.

are you attempting to load a base rom beside what your board was programmed for. the base maps are all there for you to work with. try downloading you rom via the consult the begin to edit your tune from there.

The program is pretty easy to tune its pretty straight forward and if you need help they have their own message boards and the owner matt is more than glad to help on their. Im having my car dynoed again next week and gonna do some fine tuning with it its pretty great cause if you figure something out say you want to re size your injectors for instance you just go to the tool bar at the top pick resize injectors type in the flow rate and burn it onto the board thats it and if you put it the wrong size no worries do it over again and burn it again its actually pretty amazing and straight forward.

I am doing a non-smog/no cat application with an early (91) KA24DE. Could I run the older simpler 24E ecu and harness and use this tool to do custom maps?

Wouldn't the 24DE work fine with the 24E harness if I made the distributor compatible with the old style dist? Other than map differences the Ecu doesn't care how many cams it has correct?

Is there any advantage to the 24E ecu stuff etc (cheap) over the 24DE ecu for this or visversa or should I just stay all DE?

I'd like to make the management as simple and tune-able as possible.

thx,jt
