I have a 2010 Nissan Rogue S with about 90k miles. The CVT went out about 2 months ago and the dealer replaced it under warranty. Today I pulled the front passenger tire to bleed the brakes and I noticed green axle grease all over the suspension. Also, I noticed that the leak was coming from a torn inner axle boot.
My question is whether the dealer could have torn the boot during the transmission replacement? I'm not sure if the inner boot is disturbed at all when the CVT is replaced. If it is reasonable that they tore it, I need to be prepared to push them to cover the cost of the boot or axle replacement.
