Has anybody heard about this?

http://www.powertraincontrolso....html

It lists the RE4R03A as one of the transmissions it interfaces with. It looks interesting.

Looks good and $600 +$150 plus some buyer self education might improve the functioning vs stock TCU.

However the aftermarket TCU cannot correct a mechanically worn transmission, which is the usual problem with slow WOT shifts.

Tremendous amount of useful info if you look at help, software, and schematic files. FORUMS

Read their forums and you see how little buyers understand about how transmissions actually work.

Watch out they are still working on CAN and OBD2 support so as of now avoid if you have a 1996 or newer

Remember G35/350z and newer RE5 have the TCU internal to transmission to avoid tampering [since JATCO provides warranty] so these won't work

Who will be the first Q owner to buy to try and become educated in the electronics/software of transmission control?

From their forum: "In the case of the RE4R01A, we do need to know the year, make and model of your vehicle to validate the application. The RE4R01A is one of the cleanest harnesses we make because we are able to obtain the original TCM plug and plug directly into the stock harness (in the place of the stock TCM)." should be the same for RE4R03A

Someone posted that site a while back, but I don't recall anyone doing anything with them.

Their prices are ~~ to JWT Trimode so a reasonable option and great education...................don't sell your oem TCU since reliability is unknown.

In that we have never replaced a failed TCU on a 90-95 Q unless someone caused a short or tampered with oem harness!
