I took my z in today for the fuel filler hose recall and had them look into a few other things. Long story short they are going to fix the squeak from my rear end and replace my transmission. I'm kinda jazzed about the deal since I just asked them to take a look at it. My last car was a 97 Mustang and those were cursed with a horrible transmission so what little quirks there were almost seemed like heaven in comparisson.

as long as its under warranty most dealers will without question swap out the 03 trannys for the 04.5 trannys. they know its a major issue, have you had your rear axles replaced yet? its also a problem that has popped up on most 03's around 20-30k miles, you will a noticable clicking noise.

Yea that is what they are doing with the rear axle I'm not quite sure what all it involves I read the service bulletin on it but didn't really pay much attention. I'll go back and check it out later today when I get the chance.

Well I took my car in yesterday and got it back today. I can definatly feel a difference with the new clutch. The transmission is a little stiff but it feels good. They even gave me a loaner free of charge so I didn't have to totally go without a car.

I can't really complain but what did make my jaw drop was that they gave me a free wash and used a harsh enough detergent that it took off the coats of Zaino I put on it last weekend. Its a good thing I enjoy cleaning my car. Bring on the machines!!
