I got some new toys today. So, I'm going to brag about them ;)

GReddy Gauges and Radiator Hoses courtesy Wayne @ phase2.Black Magic Fan from Summit RacingWhiteline Bushings from PDM Racing (then I got them from 1dollar240).

Can't wait to install some of this stuff. I can't put the fan in because of stupid Koyo backorder. And I have to aquire a torque wrench before I can put the bushings in, but I am going to put the radiator hoses in sometime this week, and I am taking my car and the gauges to my bosses friends shop and he is "sponsoring" me a custom single DIN enclosure above my stereo for the gauges. I'll take pics tomorrow after hes done.

</brag>Discuss.

My original set was in my a-pillar. I learned my lesson. Too bad those gauges sucked, so I bought real gauges. But now I have holes in my A Pillar; but that's ok. My Canadian seat belt conversion will have a new A pillar. Yay!

Yeah...EGT gauges are far superior for monitoring your engine to your run of the mill cheap A/F gauge...if you have an EGT and want an A/F gauge then cool...but it shouldnt come first.

i just dont know why it would be needed. can you tell me why! i have searched it and found nothing.

P.S. an A/F gauge looks like one of the scanner lights for a car alarm!

Whoopdy friggin do...it looks like scanner lights :\. The reason it's needed: If you are running lean you are running hot...if you are running richer your exhaust gasses are cooler. If you know what the baseline should be, then you modify your car and take it for a spin or dyno it and all of a sudden you're exhaust temps are a lot higher, you are running lean. It's just an excellent way of monitoring what's going on in your combustion chambers. And...you should have searched more, I've read several threads about this.
