New Toy

Well a few weeks ago I picked up a new toy for a steel and the people that I got it from couldn’t get it to run and it’s a piece of crap so what I got was a "1994 Mazda Miata". Well I have been working on the car for about a week new timing belt and, and gaskets but of course for me the car wouldn’t start so I bought a manuel and found out the car has a 1.8L instead of a 1.6L The 1.8L was supposed to come in the 1995 miatas. So switched the spark plug wires around and whippee the car starts up and idles great. I put the timing light on it and adjusted the timing but other than that the car runs great. I took it out for a spin tonight but I made it a short trip because the car hasn’t been tagged for two years. I was thinking of making it a track car but my wife wants to drive it for a while. O well it was a cheap car either way.

Nice man. The 1.8 is a better engine anyways.

Thanks I dont know any thing about mazda's. I do feel bad though the next time I see the guy I bought the car from Ill have to tell him how I got the car to start. He spent over two years trying to get this car to run.

I hate to sound mean, but if he didn't know he had the 1.8 then it's his own fault. Nice steal! I'm sure we're all jealous of your luck.

Well hers an update i changed out all of the fluid and all i have to do is bleed the brakes and tag the car and it ready to drive. I bought an intake off ebay but the sent me the wrong one. O well the car seems pretty peppy so once its tagged ill take it to okc for a long drive to make sure every thing works correctly.
