Damn you repo man! Did you REALLY have to bring the mansechs back up!?

And 1der...when I get home...I'll find all sorts of unicorn pictures for you.

As for a new topic...hmmm...how about...well ****. Nearly everything has been covered...how about you just dig way back to three or four...make that nine or ten months ago and resurrect a good topic that's already been started?

Oh, and I hate baseball, too, so let's avoid that one. In fact, all ball-related sports (shut the **** up!! ) should be avoided--

HEY. We need a Nascar thread. I'm sure at least a couple of you are weirdo nascar dudes like me...though I admittedly haven't caught a race in months...my schedule sorta doesn't make it too easy. I should start recording them.

I used to run a NASCAR fantasy league, but we opted out this year, when my HD crashed 3 races into the season and I didn't want to rebuild everything.

I think any racing can be compelling to watch if you're aware of the "details". I have even found myself watching lawn mower racing.

I will say that I think WRC is the best TV watched racing, with that back seat passenger POV camera.

Well details apply to all racing.

In NASCAR they guy that takes only 2 tires during a pit stop to gain several positions on the track, but will they be able to hold the positions with the slower track times due to the 2 older tires. But that may losen the car up and actually not slow the car.

In NHRA, it's knowing the right lane/clutch combination to get the best launch.

In WRC, it's knowing the right tires for the raod conditions. Also, going out first can give you a clear track, or put you at risk of finding rocks in the road way that could dent/crack an oil pan.

i would call those more strategy than detail, at least thats how ive always thought about it when i think of those sort of things, but i suppose when youre building the strategy those are the "details"
