I just took my vert yesterday to have her new convertible top installed. I should have it on Friday. Pics will follow.

Just to let you know, I bought the top from the ebay dealer about two years ago...can't remember how much I paid, think it was around $200 and some change (it is the Stayfast canvas top...just like the OEM). The guy thats doing the install is charging me $300 to put it on...which I didn't think was bad at all. Hope to be crusin' with my new top this weekend.

Great deal! Only $300 for install?? That's fantastic.

I'm sure you understand that pics are required after install...

$300 is retarded cheap. The cheapest I could find someone to do my top was $900 total...

If he does a good job, let me know where you went, I'd totally drive to NC to avoid paying almost a grand for a top replacement.

After paint, a new top is on my list of things to do as well.

Very good deal, congrats.

Paint and Top are on my list behind the 5spd conversion. But who knows when paint/top will be done.

You couldn't have just waited until your pictures we're ready?!

You know we all die a little inside when people post an update without pictures...

It's done.

All in good fun of course DeX.. if you didn't ask for pics constantly, I would have to do it.

If you ever want it changed to something else, just let me know.

Seriously though. Some pics would be awesome :D I've got Gorilla tape patching holes in my top, I'd totally drive to NC for a new top if the work is quality.

lol...sorry about that guys. I'm out of town for work and won't be home until Friday. I wasn't able to take any pics before I left. Soon as I get home I'll snap some shots of it and post them up. BTW...it looks great...hell, my future mother-in-law thought it was a different car...lol.

Where exactly did you get it done for $300? I have family near there so it wouldnt be a big deal for me to swing down and take care of it.

WOW... that is a sweet install. Looks beautiful. Not too bad for 3 days. Wish I had known about this before my vacation.

Thanks guys. Yeah the guy did a great job with the install. Because it was so tight he told me to wait for two weeks before lowering the top...so one week down, one more to go. Then I'll be able to cruise topless. I'm calling the guy that installed my top Monday to set up a time to get the rear seat re-covered to match my S14 front seats, front door inserts re-covered and the back seat ones, and install my carpet. I have the carpet already, but he is supplying the fabric for the seats and door inserts. He told me he would do it all for only $350...sounds like a good deal to me. I'll keep you guys informed on that and get some pics soon as I can.

Totally worth the wait. That looks amazing! I can't wait to get a fresh coat of paint and a fresh top.

I have priorities though: boosted KA, coilovers, then paint and top.
