Hey all,

I just picked up a 98 Qx4 about two weeks ago. 120k and in great shape. I got her for 4k with TTL out the door. Pearl White with Silver panels. Since I have a baby on the way I figured this would be a much better ride then my 300zx. Family man here I come.

Unfortunately I had someone clip my front end. They just barley clipped my black bumper pieces that stick out from the bumper. A inch the other way and we would have missed each other. No one was at fault so we just parted ways and called it a day. I will need a bumper cover and a little straightening of the supports under the black things. I dont mind doing this and have the knowledge and tools to do so. I was planning on painting the panels Gun Metal Metallic any way. So not that big of deal the way I see it. I have already painted my badges and a few other exterior parts this color. Anyone know where I can pick up a aftermarket oem front bumper cover? Been looking and have not had much luck.

That being said, I love the Q. I look forward to making it my own like I have done with every car I have owned. I will get my first picks up as soon as this little mishap goes away. Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the strange world of R-50's. I get a lot of my oem parts at the local pick and pull the dealer will rip you off. So do your homework and use the dealer as a last resort!!!!

Yeah tell me about it. Dealer sucks. Lots of the parts they have already stopped making for our cars and it blows. I called to get a ashtray the other day and they wanted $279.00 for it. I think I pooped a little when he told me the cost. It was only $400.00 for the bumper cover though witch is not bad but would love to find a OEM style one for cheaper. I have called about 15 Junk yards with no luck at thi spoint so I guess I will keep on the phones till I locate one at a good price.
