Hello all from sunny Az. Just picked up this little gem on craigslist. I intend to re-create an 80s mini that I fell in love with in the 80s. Tucked slots, slammed and shaved, a low buck retro truck with the benifit of fuel economy. You can track the build here or on Myrideisme.com under my name Mr. Freeze. http://www.myrideisme.com/Garage/Mr%20Freeze

Looking for any other 620 owners in Az.

also looking for a Flex back window.

Thanks. Rob.

I'll probably move this to the 620 section but you hit my heart with this one. I think I relayed earlier that the first truck I drove was a 520 that my brother had purchased new. When my wife and I got married and moved from Charlotte to the big town of Stanley I purchased a 620 for $750, this was back in 1983. Our house was the typical brick ranch two bedroom (in this area)with a carport that had been made into another room. This room had a beautiful wood stove and as we were starting out, any money I could save us on heating the place went into savings. My little 620 started out white but had rotted out flooring and door sills. It also ran rough. I learned alot about the 620, tuning etc. After several attempts, I changed the carberator which helped a little but it still ran rough. I hauled wood in the bed even with the top of the truck and an attached trailer. I did a very little body work and primed it flat black, we lovingly named it the "poop truck" but I drove it for years. Finally after we moved to our existing house I decided to rebuild the engine. It had two exhaust valves with broken pieces the size of my thumb missing. I couldn't belive this tough little guy could even run like that. The rebuild cost me $300 and I ran it for a couple of more years. It sat in my back yard for 3 more years until my nephew offered to buy it. He ran the wheels off of it driving between NC (college) and home in Florida. One night he had a head on and totalled it. I felt like I had lost a life long friend. Datsun built tough little trucks, that's why I love my 320's! Ken
