Hello Guys and gals ;-)
I recently bought a 2000 Nissan Pathfinder that couldnt start. Got it fixed, was the distributor cap carbon weared Down, put on new carbon.

Ran for a Little while and suddenly just died. Now it has no spark at all. What do you think could be the cause? Carbon look good in the distributor cap.

Maybe ignition coil gone bad or any of the sensors?

all help is appreciated.

Thanks

Erni

How are you testing for spark? Is there no spark at the plug when cranking? Check for spark at all cylinders first.

Did you replace the rotor as well?

Next, check for spark at the ignition coil tower using a spark tester. Let us know what you find.

Next step would be to test the ignitor, fuel pressure and a few other bits.

AZhitman thank you for your reply. It was the ignition coil that gone bad. Got the distributor replaced and is running Again.

Thanks
