Still getting to know everything on the forum but heres my 07 m35. I have a lot of projects for this car in the future hope to seek help and opinions from all my forum brothers but this is what i have so far. I plasti dipped the grill and the emblems. Took the wheels off a FX and got them black chromed took me 6 months to get done! Ive built a custom enclosure in the trunk with a JL 12W7 on a JL1200/1 with a kinetic battery along with it. Still not finished i got everything for my inside speakers I'm throwing Hertz millies in there powered with a JL 600/4 also got JL tweets. I have the base model which sucks so i added a backup camera which pops up in my rearview mirror, added iPod/aux hookup, and also hush matted the whole car. Hope to seek advice on lowering the car in the future but heres my start! Plan to post more pics of my setup here soon. Hopefully i did this right!!

Nice car and very thorough sound mods on the interior. Good start.

I just got my car lowered. There is a forum member who runs a mod shop in Charlotte (by Northlake Mall). He was the one that installed the springs. He owns an M35 as well so he knows it inside and out!

I put Eibach Pro Springs on it. I have a sport model so the car was riding "stiff" before the drop.
After the drop, it still feels the same. Only difference I notice is that I can take turns much easier with less body roll.

Your car is meant to drive smoother and more comfortable from factory since you don't have a sport version, therefore, once you do drop it, no matter how you do it, you will see a huge change in the way it drives.

Did you have to change your shocks? my buddy was telling me to just do both springs and shocks, but i was curious on how much of a difference it is than to replace them compared to stock.

Hey ChingPow, how did you hook up the ipod/aux connection? Did you add this on to stock stereo or aftermarket? Looking to get this done and found a plug & play kit online for this but costs $129.

Thanks,

Thanks,

I had Freeman's installed that, they charged me $200 just to put it in which is kind of hefty i think, but as long as things are done right I'm happy in the end, and yes its connected through the stock head unit. The iPod cable is ran through the glove box, and i don't even use it anymore since i no longer have a iPhone, and the aux they place it where the seat warmers should be, but since i have the base it was just plastic. I thought it was a great place to have it, and when i was getting it done i thought to myself i don't even have a aux button in the car, but the way it was setup was i just pressed radio and it takes me to the aux, or iPod. Hoped that helped any

Welcome to Nico AirDoc & ChinPow !

ChingPow, I suggest you go to dipyourcar.com to purchase the "PRO car kit" from my mate Fonzie. He has a kit for each type of car that includes everything you need to do an entire car including spray gun, dipwasher, gallons of colour, gallons of gloss or pearlizer, and all the supplies you need. His kits are generally half the price of buying these items seprately elsewhere. He also has a toll-free number you can call with any questions you may have. I've seen the reults of using spray cans to do this type of project and you will be sorely disappointed by the lumpy, speckle finish you get using regular spray cans. He also has video tutorials on doing this kind of job, and his company has colours and finishers you cannot purchase anywhere else. Everything ships via UPS / FedEx so it's fast.

What back up camera system did you use? Do you have pics of it? i have the base model as well and going to the Nav upgrade and thinking about getting Aux/ipod adaptor and add back up camera that way. I am looking at different options to doing this. Curious how your camera is setup. Pics will be great :gapteeth:
