Usually im roaming around the Z32 forums as that is what I drive and therefore the most beneficial for me. But recently I have had a "beater" to drive in the winter, and the first one was a 93 Oldsmobile cutlass supreme s that the overdrive would stick and you would have to nuetral bomb it to get it to go anywhere after 30 min plus highway drives. Needless to say we sold that and actually made some money on it I believe so
Then we started searching for another "beater" and I remembered one of my highschool buddies had a nice car that he was wanting to get rid of for cheap. So we got it in Frebruary of this year and still hve it today. It is a 96 Sentra GXE (4 door) and it is the blue/green color that wouldnt be anyones first pick in color that I know of. It is a manual (thank god) and it is fun to drive and gas mileage is great with the lil GA16DE under the hood that has 190,000 miles on it. We picked it up for 300, put a new water pump, tires, timing chain, brakes, cleaned out the radiator, and worked on some of the rust spots to clean them up (most are small and in unnoticeable spots). In no way is this car a beater by the way.
As this car is fairly worthless(KBB 750), and if the motor blows, it blows, I have thought that it would be a nice car to get into auto-X/road course racing. I would do this with my Z but the cost to do this with the Sentra is much more cost effective.
Wheels are easy to find and I think I have settled on some MOMO RPM Black, 16x7's, and 205/45 16's for tires, this is not final yet. Other than that it just seems to be hit and miss on engine parts. Are there any sites like conceptz, or z1motorsport, for sentras, especially for B14's with the GA16 motor. Also I understand that everything for a 200sx would swap right over except for exhaust due to car length differences? So are there any good 200sx sites?
Or are most of you shaking your head and thinking just put an SR20 in it and be done.
Well let m know what you think and your opinions and what not.
Thanks
