Hey you guys, I just traded my s13 coupe for this Vert about 2 weeks ago.

It's running on 188k miles. Still need a few work done to it. I'm riding around with a missing back window.

Im getting some really crappy gas mileage. About 16-17 MPG. I dunno why. If anyone knows any ideas that could improve my gas mileage, that would be very nice.

It also needs some interior work, the guy bought some carpet and didnt' install it right, but it will do for now.

Anyways, if anyone has any spare, back speaker covers. Let me know please.

Well I'm happy to be apart of the convertible crew.

I just did some research. I just picked up this Convertible from a guy that bought it from this guy. In TN.

zerothread?id=116249

I think that guy sold the car for 1k with no carpet, missing back window, and that themostat problem.

I then bought this car from that other guy for 1700, due to the fact that he installed some carpet (didn't do a great job, but it will do) and he fixed the thermostat.

Then I drove it back home from TN to SC. And the car runs fine, I just hate the mpg issue. But so far the only work I have to do to it was replacing the entire strut assembly. My front shocks where completely dead, and I think the back ones are bad too. I only had enough money to replace the front for the mean time.

What do you guys think about that price? $1700, in that condition

Not a terrible price... If the body is straight, it's a decent deal.

If it makes you feel any better, it'll be cheap to get it back "in shape", just make sure you check in here before speniding - we can usually guide you to some cheap parts.

Mileage is maybe a little off, but not too far. I'd start with a FULL tune-up, clean intake system and ensure everything is working perfectly and see how much improvement there is.

Thanks AZhitman. I read up on your write up about what you did to the seat belts, and speakers.

I like it!!!

I might try something out like that with the speakers.

But I might just buy some manual window coupe doors to replace these heavy doors.

I also got a few other problems.

I'm missing the back speaker covers. If you know anyone that has a pair, I like to grab some from them.

The other problem is that my back window on the driver and passenger side isn't goin up all the way when the top is down. Like the track is off or something. When I press the button to make it go up, I have to help pull it up. It does that on both sides.

I just ordered my top canvas and back window (Topsonline.com). They come together right??? like Stitched in already. That cost me a little less then 350 shipped. I called a couple of places around, for some installation prices. And they were mainly anywhere from 400-600. Luckly I found one at 275, is that a good price?? I'm still debating if i would like to try to do it myself or not. I heard it could take anywhere from 6-10 hours depending on what you know how to do.

One other question.

I got a guy that said he would charge me 550 for parts and labor (except for the clutch) to do a auto to manual swap. Is that a decent price???

I would do it myself, but I'm lacked on tools and a garage for the mean time.

That's a great deal IMO.

I'd go for it. Make sure you get some sort of warranty on the work.
