New to the site. Question about cold air intake.

A great resource for Nissan Sentra, Infiniti G20, 200sx, Pulsar, NX1600, NX2000, Tsuru, Primera and Sunny owners.

Hey hey. New to the site. owner of an '05 Sentra SE-R automatic ( ). Was looking at a Fujita cai. They claim an 8 horse power gain and 4 ft/lbs of torque gained. Is it any good?

8hp claim of a cai is a bit generous. think more of like a 3-5hp gain to the wheels. a cai just doesnt net that much power. just an FYI, everyone lists the intakes like that though. Fujita is a decent brand.

8hp in the winter at best. Maybe 8hp at the crank overall, but like VMPhil, it's optimistic.

Still, it's a good mod to get started with. Go for it!

From what I have found so far in that market that one looks the best. It is all one peice. What other are there on the market, and exhaust wise. Looking to upgrade but concerned about spending a good chunk of change for something that is gonna sound like a honda. I want just a deep tone, clean sound.

Deep, clean, your best bet is BRM. Get in touch with AZHitman here on NICO and he'll get you all squared away.

They all use the same design, it's not really 1 piece. It's one piece, the MAF, then a second extension. The Injen and AEM systems are the same way. However, the AEM's filter is easier to deal with since it doesn't require oiling.

Caps lock much?

Haha, it's overpriced, so I wouldn't bother. It doesn't make any more power than any other good brand.

A good drop and your car would be slick.

The NISMO suspension doesn't lower it much and really isn't a big performance upgrade, either.

Do a little searching, there are better B15 suspensions for the money.

If you want to blow cash on NISMO parts because they're NISMO, have at it, but the fact is that the performance per dollar ratio on most NISMO stuff is no good.

Their coilover will make the car handle better, sure, but other setups will make it handle even better than that (and, as an added bonus, make it lower) for the same price and without much, if any, rougher ride.

I never said NISMO doesn't make good parts, simply that they're overpriced.

Any other good brand is going to provide the same performance gains. What parts are you looking at?

Hit up SCO, they have a huge selection of parts at competitive prices.
