Pics of the EK!

But anyways, sounds good so far, seems like you should be able to get those numbers, or something fairly close with that setup.

Don't mean to thread jack nor disrespect the SR motor (seeing as this is the forum for it) but if you're looking to make 350-400 hp for 8k, you're better off going with something like an LS1 swap. 8k should more than cover everything you'll need for it. It fits nicely in the 240sx and you will very safely and reliably make 400+ horsepower and way more torque than an SR could ever dream about, and you'll save weight. The aluminum block LS1 vs a 400hp SR will be quite a bit lighter.

My 2 cents. Check out Silviav8.com for more info on all this stuff if you're interested.

I was actually about to add something about that. If you're a JDM purist, love turbos, or just don't like big v8s than by all means the SR is a good platform. I was going on the fact that you wanted horsepower, and undoubtedly you can get that very reliably from a v8. Besides, I don't know if it's a concern of yours, but even ss camaros with 325 hp got 24-25 miles to the gallon, No tuned SR will get near that. Anyway, it's your car, just my 2 cents. Good luck with the build and I want pics when you start it.

brakes, tires, exhaust, suspension, oil pickup, clutch, radiator fan, fpr, guages, bov, spark plugs, ......

Its hard to make a list of everything you'll need. My rule of thumb is an sr swap alone will cost $3000-3500. So whatever you get you're shell for + $3500= 240sx w/ stock sr. Now start adding upgrades, shop fees for welding intercooler & alignment, fluids, unforseen parts & tools and that $8000 is startin to look like a spit wad. Don't get me wrong for 8k you'll have an awsome car but anyone who tunes cars knows its hard to ever be finished. Good luck with you're build and try checking Performance Tuning in brick, nj also Tune Time on rt.166 in toms river,nj.

the man is right ,you will never be done .just take it 1 step at a time. if you go in and change everything before you hear it run how do you know that it ran to begin with. but its sooo much easier to do everything before.

if you're looking for something low prices and decent, go with a rom tune from enthalpy or jwt. costs 500$, sort of like the kpro of 240's
