Post

Hey all,

Let me introduce myself. My name is Joe, and I am from Boston. I have a '93 Nissan 240sx SE fastback (everything but HICAS, including leather:), and my gf just got a '93 black 'vert SE LE.

Since this is the convertible forums, I stick to it rather than my hatchie . Its black, with a full black leather interior and all factory options (A/C still works, as does cruise control), and it even has a boot and the rear view mirror with the lights!!! I restored the interior thanks to the FAQs on this interior (pneumatic stapler FTW), and I have found a few useful things.

First, I noticed someone saying Nissan still makes the rear window switch. I can confirm this, as I ordered one a while ago from courtsey, but it was 36 bucks, not 50:)

I also was able to get the RIGHT side top receiver for the latch (plastic thing that the roof goes into on the top of the windshield garnish thing), unfortunately, the left is out of production, but the right is like 5 bucks:

Also, here is the striker assembly for the door, supposedly fixes the door not closing properly and sets off the light (mine are ordered and coming in, will post the results when I get them): 14 bucks..

Thats all the goodies I found so far, also, Midway Nissan (onlyfactoryparts.com), probably has everything for even cheaper, but their diagrams suck to find parts:)

Also, I have a red '94 convertible parts car, so if anyone is in the Boston area, let me know and you can come by and check it out (no engine or trans, and the leather seats/uncracked dash are spoken for).

Lastly, I am looking for one last part for my vert, the little plastic garnish that covers the seat belt hole at the bottom of the driver's side door. I have two for the passenger's side, but I broke the driver's side one . If anyone has one, let me know how much or if you want to trade for a part off of my parts car?

Thanks guys, hope those links help someone, case I know this forum helped me a ton already!

EDIT

Forgot this little gem:

http://www.courtesyparts.com/b....html

Basically, if your cig. lighter pops out (never seen an s13 that didn't), this will fix the problem. Its the little plastic ring that goes around the lighter and holds it in the center console. 8.33 to fix, IMHO, a very annoying common problem.

Hey Bak, some nice finds there. I am in need of the trim pieces that go around the inside door handles, and also the entire ash tray assembly. Can you help me out with those?

Sorry whoflung.. we don't use PM's on NICO. The decision was made to keep as much information and conversation on the boards as possible. Feel free to use email and IM's of course to carry on private conversation.

Well, as soon as it stops raining/i figure out my GF's digi cam, i will post up some pics!

Also for parts, you can email me: jchevarley@*REMOVETHIS*gmail.com, just shoot me your zip code (shipping quote), what you want, and how much you will offer for it ? I would prefer local of course... not sure how many people are around Boston though...

Also, let me know if anyone has the extra seat belt bezel, I must make this vert perfect, lol

I probably have the seat belt garnish. I need to dig through my box of parts to see, though (this weekend).

Some more random cool OEM stuff:

http://www.courtesyparts.com/b....html

This diagram has not only all the switches in the cluster area, but also has the replacement light bulbs!!! I just got mine in today and replaced my hatch's bulbs and my g/f's vert's looks way cool with the buttons lighting up.

Also, these aren't just the bulbs, but they also include the little rubberish backings with the lead terminals.

I also have all the part numbers for the rear exhaust holder (the part that bolts onto the rear driver side frame rail, the part that connects to that w/ the two exhaust bushing holders, and the bolts), if anyone needs 'em, let me know, I will post them up. I know at least on any s13 I have seen these two brackets rust out like nothing else.
