Hey all,

Obviously new to this forum so thought I'd say hi.

My names Chris. I'm from New Zealand.

I have previously owned an S14. Had it for about four years. SR20DET with basic mods done to it. Used to take it to the race track for a bit of fun, but had to sell it due to family and what-not.

I now own an S12 Silvia that's a bit of a project. I bought the car with no motor, gearbox or driveshaft. I have since dropped an S14 SR20DE and gearbox into it, a Toyota Hilux rear diff, adjustable springs perches and TechnoToyTuning 4-link arms, S13/S14 hybrid front suspension with S14 Cusco coilovers, and S13 adjustable tension rods, S14 front turbo brake calipers with Znoelli rotors, S14 rear calipers and handbrake setup. It's still a while from being running and road-lega, but I am slowly getting closer. I also have a set of wheels on the way from Japan for it.

Anyway, I've been a member of various other forums so thought I may as well join up here for an extra place to get some information and help as I need it.

Also, here is a pic of my old S14;

Thanks! Unfortunately in that photo it doesn't run, had no brakes and has no lights or anything like that on the front of it. I had to move house so got it mobile for a tow truck to come pick it up.

Nice S14, Nice S12! Welcome to the forum! What are the long term plans for the S12? Daily driver? Track car? Both? Kiwi transportation device?

Haha, Kiwi transportation device, that's awesome.

It'll be mainly a weekend fun car. It will see some track time, although I'm more for grip than drifting. Since selling the S14, I've missed going to the race track.

Main plan with the S12 is that while it won't be fast (S14 SR20DE), it'll stick like sh*t to a blanket when it comes to cornering so it'll be able to maintain higher speeds anyway.

I've got some 16x8.5" used Weds wheels on the way from Japland which I will be putting either a set of Michelin PilotSport3 or Continental MaxContact5 on. Also have a S13 Cusco strut brace on the way too.
