Hey guys, i just got a red 93 240 vert. It's kinda rough but runs and drives. I plan on doing a lot of work on it as I get the money. I'll post pics up here soon and get it registered on here.

But while I'm on here, I've got a few questions. I've tried to search the forums but can't quite find anything that fits, maybe I'm not searching for the right stuff.

First off, I'm having an issue with the top. The previous owner said it worked last time he used it but it sat for a couple months since then. When I go to lower the top, the quarter windows will go down, but after they get down the motor hums, the rpms go down as if it's using a lot of juice, but the top doesn't retract. I've tried moving the valve on top of the motor but no luck. Hoping it's not the motor.

The other thing is while driving, when I decelerate from between 65-55 until about 45, I get a shake in the front end and steering wheel. I don't believe it's the rotors, because there's no pulse I the brake pedal. I read something about a spin in the rack was it? There is also sometimes a suspension knock knock knock noise while this is happening. Could it possibly be bushings?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Also how many vert owners are there in michigan does anyone know? Anybody around th Kalamazoo/grand rapids area?

Lookin good. For the knocking noise maybe you could have a loose suspension part. Jack up the front and give the front wheels a shake down. Not sure about the top. Mine just stopped working out of the blue but when I did put the top down my RPMs would drop down a little

Plan on doing that today as soon as I clock out from work. I put it up on the hoist yesterday and checked the underside real quick, nothing major caught my eye except a power steering line is leaking. I'm hoping its a bushing cause I was planning on doing a set of poly bushings on it this winter anyways.
