Whats up guys? This is an awesome forum you have here. I just registered. I have a G35 coupe and was thinking about doing some mods to it but im not too sure what to do.

I was thinking the 3 main things I want to start with are exhaust, intake, and an in dash tv.

A few problems though, obviously the in dash tv since there is no room for one I will have to have a kit. Where can I get one and about how much do you guys think it will cost for the kit plus installation?

Next are the intake and exhaust, which brands do you guys recommend? I have seen that a lot of you guys love the stillen exhaust...and I love the sound, its just the tips seem like they are small(basically the same size as the factory ones) im not looking for huge tips but I would like them a little bigger than the factory. Can anyone tell me if they are or not? Also, what brand of intake?

The last problem is that in my area we have to pass an emissions test every year with our cars(really sucks), will adding an intake and exhaust make me fail the emissions test?

Thanks in advance guys, very cool forum and tons of nice G35s!!!

Assuming you have a 2007 or earlier coupe or 2006/earlier sedan, the kit to install an in-dash TV, which would be a double din sized unit, will run you about $260-$300 depending on where you get it from. The cheapest I've seen is $265 at grubbsperfomance.com. The reason its so expensive is because you have to replace your climate controls as the OEM ones are integrated into the same circuit board as the CD player. Installation costs can vary between shops. A shop at home will (I should say used to, not sure on their price anymore, its been awhile) install units at $50/unit plus any other supplies needed. But I'd expect $100+.

Exhaust--my favorites are Stillen, Injen, and Borla. Tip size is pretty standard in aftermarket exhausts for the G. I'm not sure if they're any bigger.

Intakes, I have the JWT Pop Charger. I really like it as do a lot of other people. Another popular one is Stillen. Both are similar in gains, but between those two its whether you want to keep a stock look or not (Stillen has an airbox, JWT is an open setup with a metal heat shield. There's also your traditional cold-air intakes, the more popular one seems to be by Injen. Those with cat-back exhausts will allow you to pass inspection.

Hope that helps. Welcome aboard. Post some pics!

Welcome to NICO. The questions that you have asked are quite diverse here. Just scan through a few threads and look at the sigs of the members. They pretty much tell you what people are running. Also, the search feature can help you if you have questions about a specific brand.

Again, welcome to the forum. I'm sure others will be along to offer their opinions soon.
