Post

first off wassup to everyone!

the new car itch has bitten me hard.. and the g35 sedan has caught my eye.. i'm thinking of getting a used one (sport) in a year or two when i can afford it

these are my thoughts and concerns

- how long do they plan on keeping the 2nd generation body style around (i love it and don't want them to come out with a 3rd generation right away)

- are they going to come out with a g37 sedan in the near future?

- are there a lot of mods for the g35 sedan? (most of what i see on the road are bone stock)

- sedan owners.. how do you like the car so far?

thanks!

Welcome to NICO

As for the questions relating to the future, I don't have a clue.?Perhaps some of our other experts can answer?

As for your last question, I love my G, its the best vehicle I have ever owned. As far as you purchasing one, my advise is to not only wait until you can afford it, but wait, save, and pay cash for a brand new one. You can read the many posts here while you save. There are some on this site whose used vehicles you would not want to purchase used.

Welcome to Nico!!

Not sure about the future of the G either. I wouldn't let that hold you back from pulling the trigger on any Gen G.

We love out G's!!! As far as power, performance and fun, it's great!!!I know for my Gen G, there are lots of mods - exhaust, intake, SC, etc...

Welcome to NICO.

I have heard that a G37 sedan will be next and the slushbox will be upgraded to a 7sp. The coupe is supposed to be available in a AWD model at some point as well. There have been rumors of a G-vert but Infiniti is still denying it. A infiniti-badged GT-R sedan may be in the works as well (rumor mill)

I actually disagree. I had much rather finance 33k or more at 4.9% (or lower) if you have the cash laying around. With proper investment of that cash you should be able to bring in a higher rate of return than the interest rate on the loan.

general nissan/infiniti question.. how's their reliability? do their cars usually go 200k miles problem free with regular maintenance? one of my main factors into getting a car is it is one i have to enjoy driving for at least a decade before giving it up.. plus i have a long commute.. and whatever car i get will be putting in a lot of work

From a motor perspective it's pretty much one of the best out there. There are other VQ powered cars with 200k+ already.
