I just bought a 1997 Infinit QX4... and for the MOST part I love it compared to the truck that I used to have while trying to haul a family of 4. I have a check engine light on with codes 505 & 325, ABS light on, and AOD light flashing at startup to about 5 seconds then going off. I solved the ABS light by replacing a broken sensor. I removed and cleaned the AAC valve and plenum and reinstalled everything. I did not mess with the knock sensor becuase I was told that the ECU gets shorted out after a AAC valve is reported bad. I purchased a new ECU and I still have the engine light on. Should I replace the knock sensor and the ACC valve? I still can't figure out the AOD flashing light. Other than those issues... the vehicle runs FINE! I have also noticed that one day the speedometer will work while driving then go to "0" while the other guages act fine. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

How do you re-flash the ECU without involving the dealer?

You can only flash the ECM using CONSULT-II, which means you would need to take it to the dealer.
