Hey Everyone,

I used the bullydog for my 2011 maxima.. which is the model used for a 2004 G35? All I was able to really do with the maxima was increase timing.. I just got my 2004 G35 coupe, w/ 113,000 miles runs like a champ... I'm hoping for more options on the G. Any info that will help me get what i want will be greatly appreciated!! I'm not trying to build a race car lol... I just want to add something that will make it more fun to drive. So far it is 100% stock, and I most likely will keep it that way.. maybe an CAI one day who knows. I will never change the exhaust, that sound is so sexy.

Thanks!!

Dan

You are working with a platform that is difficult to extract power without certain modifications. If you don't plan on changing the exhaust then an intake is going to add 10hp. You can also add a motordyne plenum spacer for another 10hp. From there, without changing out the exhaust and cats, you aren't going to extract any more power. At some point, all those modifications together will require a real tune, preferably UpRev dyno tune. The bullydog is a waste of money IMHO. Even with just the intake, spacer and axleback exhaust on my G35, the car was dangerously lean and that was using the Hypertech. Once the car was put on a dyno and tuned properly did I really benefits from all those modifications.

Thanks for the reply..

I'm looking more for how the car responds for spirited driving.. not looking for extra power really.. But yes it would be nice lol... I had a 2011 maxima and raised the timing 2 deg and the car was perfect.. looking for something like that.. I bought it for a commuter car, so not looking to go crazy, just want a fun drive to work.

You could do the same with the Hypertech unit.
