Hello folks!
Just wanted to be polite and say hello, since I'm new here... I have a 2005 Altima 3.5SE with 60,000 miles on the clock, owned since new, still under extended warranty... Here's a recent pic:

I hope to learn a lot about my car! I'm not a "fingernails dirty" sort, not on this car anyway (when I used to own cars that broke a lot, I did a lot more wrenching, but this thing never breaks and the piddly stuff is all warranty work).

I live in Florida, and her paint got really faded on the decklid, hood, and roof, so I had it sprayed 2 months ago at a local shop, they did a fantastic job, it looks better than the factory paint did.

I keep her well maintained, new oil every 2500-3000, I just did my 2nd transmission flush (every 30K)... I have a few questions that I'll pose in the appropriate forums...

Thanks!!

Welcome! I agree with the factory paint being terrible on 05's. I saw the color in your sig. Looks close to my code red? What is the color you had it resprayed?

Thanks everyone! I just had them match factory; they didn't even spray the whole car, but it came out looking really magnificent. There is more and better clearcoat, and there are apparently polymers in the aftermarket paint they used that will make it much stronger, shinier and fade resistant than the factory paint was. And absolutely no orange peel; the horizontal surfaces are like glass. The "Sunset Red" my car is is browner and not quite as bright as the red on the SE-Rs of that vintage... There's a link to a full size version of the pic in my avatar in the original post, it's accurately lit...
