I believe the whole 1.6l are only sedans limitation only alies to the North American market.grogman wrote:so you have a 1.6 l in a hatchback. are you sure its a 1.6. welcome to the forum and ignore the mud thrown in here.
Yes, only north america limits the 1.6 to the sedan.grogman wrote:so what you are saying is tiida hbs can come with either engine?
Welcome to NICO, enjoy your stay with us! First things first, get your windows tinted, it's a good idea to keep the intense UV light out. Secondly, possibly lower it with some lowering springs. Thirdly, aftermarket rims are great, makes the V stand out more, 17" is a typical size people upgrade to.mdamatas wrote:Hello! I'm just saying hi and presenting my new Tiida 2009 (I'm from Panama)...
Right now it doesn't have any mods yet, but I should definitely start with some rims ... I must say I love the new tail lights, so that's something I might not be changing...
Any tips, recomendations, assistance on starting with it and taking the best care of it would be really appreciated.
Nice to meet you! Your English is quite good, I'm impressed! Good to see you enjoy your V very much.Spirit wrote:In such occasion I will be presented also. Hello! My name is Pavel, I from Russia, from a city of Ekaterinburg, it in Ural Mountains. I Tiida already has more than year, problems with car were not and are not present, all is remarkable...
it seems that in panama the same rules apply!mdamatas wrote:It's actually tinted already (can't tint them more because of transit regulations, they just want a reason for peeking into the vehicle )
And yes, it's a 1.6L HB Tiida/Versa... When you are going to buy one, they actually always start offering you the 1.6L version (in both HB/Sedan)... Upgrading to 1.8L, or even upgrading to just rims is too expensive for me ($2000 more as a minimum), well, the difference it's also because I was getting a special price for this one because I bought it in a Car Expo...
About lowering it, I'm not sure, see, the problem is that here in Panama, roads are not allways good friends with cars, because of wrong maintenance, and people with low cars just suffer everytime a new hole appears ... Maybe just a little bit? dunno... Hehe
I think he thinks your TPMS(Tire Pressure Monitoring System) light is on. The TPMS lets you know when your tire pressure is too low. I don't think that's the TPMS light....mdamatas wrote:Tire sensors? Is the question for me? If it is, I'm sorry I don't understand...
Oh, the lights were because I had the parking break and the lights on. Do all Versas have the TPMS? I haven't seen any info on that in the manual, will check again though...Red Devil wrote:

Glove box light, it makes sence, it would be good to have one there... I have a 5 speed, it has been good for me till now (it is the first manual car I use since my driving classes 2 years ago...)versaspeed.com wrote:Love seeing the different versions of the same car.
madamates:I think the hole that you see in the glove box....maybe for a glove box light? Is that a five speed or six speed in your car?It looks like you have a "Sports Kit" on it...I like what they did with the kit in Panama.
