Ok.. well let me start off by saying I've been following this forum for about a month now. Next week I will be done with paying off all my debt ( damn credit cards ). I've decided to get an altima coupe ( maybe red or silver ) after I'm done with the debt. Just wanted to ask how you guys paid for your coupes? Did you put something down and then agreed to a monthly payment? I'd like to pay it all off in one shot but it'll take me about a year to save up that kind of money. If I do take that route any news on an 09 coupe? Thanks guys!!!

First off, let me start by saying welcome. I saved up money and bought the coupe in one shot, just like you are planning to do. However, there are many ways to go about this deal with financing, down payments, and the sort. As for 2009 Coupes, I am not too sure but there is speculation of an "R" version. Nevertheless, that is too far in the future to predict and it is just that - speculation. I believe the 2009 models will have less of the faults that are seen in the first generation coupes. Hope this helps.

Welcome and good luck with the car purchase. This is the place to come if you have any coupe questions.

Welcome! As far as I know, Nissan isn't offering any special financing incentives on the coupes. If you have less than stellar credit, you might be better off to save for a while and put down a big down pmt. Then you can finance the remainder through a bank or credit union.

I put 8k down and financed the rest through a credit union. Good credit got me really low, manageable payments. Good Luck!

I don't have $ to pay off. If you want to have the car now, you can do financing, then when you have the $ just pay it off. You'll pay interest over a year but you'll have the car right now

If you're willing to wait until next year to pay it off do it, Personal opinion only, if you can you should always pay for the car in full.

well i did a trade - in. if you have a vehicle you can trade in it really helps. i traded in my 04 camry for 12,000, then added an additional 3,000, with a total of 15,000 down payment for the car. and since i have no previous credit history, my rates are high..but it kinda balances out with the pretty big down payment i did. and did a 5 yr finance. welcome and good luck
