Hi Guys / Gals. Just took delivery of my new ride. The 2008 Altima Coupe 3.5 SE w Premium and Technology package. I love the car and I can't wait to mod it out! In the future I plan to drop her a little and put gunmetal wheels on her. The only thing I've done to her so far is tint out the windows, took off that ugly sunroof deflector and added that G series inspired flat deck spoiler.

Looking good. Don't think it needs a spoiler, but guess if you gonna mod it, it probably fit in.

Damn you Maryland for making me put on front plate.

Welcome... looks great! Good luck with it.

I see that you are in Athens, PA... I am from the Scranton area (Clarks Summit to be exact). What dealer did you get it from?

I love Clarks summit! Always gas at the sheetz on my way down to the poconos to race my bikes.

Bought the car up in Elmira NY. My buddy works there and he got me a sweet deal for the everything.

Nice pics of you ride too!

Cool... I got mine at Serafini's in Vestal NY. I got good deals on the car and finance rate, and got a sweet deal on my trade in.

It was much cheaper than the Philly dealers... and Tom Hesser in Scranton didn't seem to eager to get my business.

So, I guess you went through the whole fun of getting the vehicle registration transferred to PA and getting an inspection on a brand new car as well.

My experience wasn't that bad at all. In fact it was pretty painless. I was just at Serefini's and test drove the Nismo Z before I bought the coupe. Then reality hit me. This is a summer car, not a all around driving car. It was nice though and I was going to buy it but I told my buddy that worked in Elmira and he told me that he had the top of the line Nissan Altima coupe in code red. That was on a Thursday. Friday, he drove my FJ Cruiser in so I can get an idea of what the trade would be. We played the numbers game for a bit but settled on a decent amount. Signed the paper work on Monday. Funny thing is, I never saw or test drove the car at that point. I actually went down to visit my brother in North Wales that weekend and test drove a frost white coupe with everything at Montgomeryville Nissan. From there on in I knew I had to have this car!

Question about the spoiler - do you now have 2 sets of High Rear Mounted Brake lights - 1 in the back window and one on the spoiler?

Yes I realized that. That's why I got from the dealership the electrical schematics for the third brake light. Snipped 1 wire and no more third brake light! afterall, this isn't my first spoiler I've installed.

Cool - I was just curious. That is one way to tell on a G35 coupe - if the spoiler is factory or aftermarket. On the G35s with the factory installed wing - there is no 3rd brakelight in the rear window.

On the Altima - obviously all spoilers will be aftermarket - so it probably makes sense to buy one without the rear light mounted in the spoiler. I would imagine it will save some $.

I don't really like spoilers on the Altima - but the one you used I think is the best one I've seen - I believe someone else posted this spoiler on a white coupe.

I have a white one with the spoiler. It was added by the dealership. Mine does not have the brake light in it. The third brake light in the window is not blocked at all by the spoiler, so this worked out perferctly.

Spoiler price is the same whether you order it with the brake light or not.

depends on who you get it from... Obviously the cost to manufacture is different..

Also i just noticed in the rear shot of your car... It looks like the tint isnt adhering to the dot matrix... is it?

Good Eye. No I don't think it is. When they first put it on, everything was dark except for this one spot. The installer said that it would probably cure like the trouble spot. He said if I don't like it that they could install black vinyl over the dot matrix. Should I get him to do that????

It depends... some people have a vinyl put over it... Some tints adhere better to the dots than others, and in another thread i heard a "secret" that if you take something and slightly scuff the dots, it will then adhere to them...

I have the Canadian Altima brochuere in front of me and the only red the coupe comes in is Matador Red and it sure doesn't look anything like the US Code Red. I guess I'm going to have to spend the weekend searching more Nissan lots for a red coupe.

Bought the CVT although the one I test drove in Montgomeryville PA was a 6MT. My previous vehicle was a stick...now I wanna enjoy my cup of coffee while I'm driving rather than shifting.

This is still the best spoiler for the Altima
