Post

So I've had my altima for two weeks now and I've been all over this forum reading post after post with no luck. So I just had a few questions. If you guys don't have answers maybe point me towards a post with good information.

My first question. Which brand of lowering springs sit lower?

Which brand have the best handling? Ex. Tighter turns more stable etc.

And if I get them for a 2.5 will they also work on a 3.5 if I trade it in a year?

Also I'm planning on getting 18's should I get an 18x7.5 or 18x8? :gotme

Hello,
Welcome to NICO!
Tein springs are the lowest, but they are specifically designed for the 3.5, NOT the 2.5.
Even Eibach springs have 2 different sets for the Altima coupe, 2.5 and 3.5. So if you get the Eibach springs for the 2.5, they will not be compatible with the 3.5. There are plenty of other brands, but these two are the most common (and reliable).
The handling improves a bit from OEM when you install either of the springs I mentioned earlier, but the handling will really improve if you install an after market sway bar and a strut bar.
you will be fine with 18x8 even if you lower your car on springs
