Not sure if I'm posting this is the right place I have done some research and can't really find anything or anyone with similar problems

I just put new coilovers on my 92 s13 hatch with a Ka24de I went for a test drive and about 20 minutes into the drive I noticed my oil light flickering I instantly pulled over checked my oil level and looked through the oil fill cap the level on the dipstick was on the L but there was oil on the cams from what I could see. I was only a block away from my house so I started it up and got back home the light was off the way home.

I decided to change the oil with 10w40 I noticed the frame filter was pretty heavy and had oil in it when I took it off. I did the oil change and lowered the car back down and started it up the light was off so I let it idle for 30 minutes as I listened for any funny sounds no knocks ticks or smoke. So I shut it off and started it about an hour later and the light was flickering again. So I instantly turned it back off went to the store and got a new oil pressure sensor. Put it in and cleaned the block started it and the light was off. So I shut it off and started it right back up and the light was flickering again.

I bought a gauge but it didn't come with the right adapter 1/8 bspt

I also did notice when I put the coils on my harness on the driver side fender well had some exposed wires I pulled them out and individually wrapped each one.

My question is what can I do? The car sounds great like I said no smoking ticking knocking or rattling.
My other question is can someone send me a link to the right adapter or a fairly cheap gauge that comes with everything needed to install it.

Here is a video of what it's doing. It sounds like something ticking in the video but that's just my gauge cluster rattling ( solid mounts ftw )

Welcome to NICO!

Have you checked your wiring up to and around the sensor? It has to be something electrical that's jamming it up. Maybe someone who has had better experience can chime in here.

i ended up borrowing a snap-on oil pressure gauge from a friend. the pressure was perfect with a little wiggle to the needled at idle after it warmed up but nothing excessive. probably the bearing clearance.
for the time being i want to install a oil pressure gauge.
do you have any recommendations on a specific name brand?
i was contemplating on mechanical with a steel braided line. instead of using electrical. i was planning on just removing the light in and sensor and just using the actual gauge. what would you prefer?

I'm with ricer on checking behind cluster. Something has to be triggering it, possibly grounding out. Nice car btw glad to see your missing your bumper extensions as well lol.
Ricer y I no get welcome I never get any interaction I feel blacklisted. Like Anne frank before the book
