new to the forum, how goes it?

hey everyone, i just picked up a 95 240 with an sr20 with only about 2500 miles

traded my 96 eclipse gs-t and i am amaised with the power it puts down with nothing but a front mount and a few other minor upgrades

basically just introducing myself, im chris and i like to party hahaha

but on a more serious note, i feel like my transmission is running hot, the whole center console feels warm, this is my first rwd car so maybe this is common for the transmission position?

also i see some leaking around the shifter...

and it has a very "bouncy" idle, i see some fray on the wires of the tps, could this be the cause?

i know im probably in the wrong catagory but like i said im new to the forum.

ha sounds like a joke but a buddy of my got his front mount jacked over night a few days back hahaha hope i dont make the same mistake but to all the sr guys, do you have alot of heat dissipating from your transmission 2?

but for some reason s14's dont look right without a frt bumper it looks cool on a 13 but not right on a 14

s*** its snowing again, I was gonna pull my car out tomorrow for the first time this year . Oh well got to get insurance anyway first, and then its off to gas station for that 100octane drink LOL.

nope not at all! my buddys 300zx had a fuc*** up drivshaft bearing and i guess the drivshaft was spinning not straight and it made the center hot too...

idk guess i wanted to go rwd, n this opertunity just kinda fell into my lap so i jumped on it, and as for oil it is actually leakin fluid around the shifter mount (which was going to be my next ?) thanks every one btw

You go to any meets, been to "Strats" hot dog place over in Elmhurst. Toyota Park has a meet, during summer time, it's like Tuesday or Wednesday like 6-9pm or something. Other wise dont know any body around here with twofouty, people mostly hide when I tend to cruise.

240s-sex, dont know about DSM's but 240's. If you stay around this site, and need any help, you find it sooner than you think. And SEARCH button always helps if you ever will need to search for mods/help/how-to's, and I know you will

heat+transmission= not so good. I would be checking fluid levels in the gears and for that matter do a whole tune up.

why would someone trade a car they just swapped less than 3k ago?

The Sr20 is pretty much a gr8 platform. Plenty of parts for it. Rwd is far better than fwd.

lilpiton, they did last year. I drove semi's, to the CSX rail yard one that's on Harlem and 74th Ave. Which is right across from Toyota Park. I was unable to attend, because of what I did. But I dont do that anymore, so if this year they dont have it I will be .

oh i think i remember the meet i seen it too i think. they had the cones mde like a track?i seen like a sentra, a vet, s2k and like couple other cars.

good call on the vac leak ill check it out in the morn but as for the trade, the guy took a loan for the swap, the guy was laid offf and fell into debt, n like i said it just kinda fell into my lap. woo hooo!
