Just stopping and doin some Q&A, buying a 96 240SX SE and looking to find the best I/H/E set up for the the N/A motor and if there are any other recommended upgrades to do while putting in the I/H/E ( i.e. ECU upgrade test pipe so on) Let me know or let me have it for not searching topics, either way I don't care I have thick skin.

Would like an exhaust thats not so raspy but still would like N1 style if I can have both. Kinda sick of seeing AEM intakes as well so if some one has a better idea let me know. Thanks

For my S13 chassis car I have a Bomz intake, OBX header, I am doing custom bent 2.5 inch straight exhaust with no nothing, and then a muffler off ebay with 2.5 inch inlet. I have everything but the piping because I have to get that made on the car. In the end I will have spent under $400 dollars, and it will be louder and flow better than any cat-back.

Get Hotshot headers, the OBX ones are crap. Get a 2.5 in exhaust and a high flow cat rather than a test pipe (a little courtesy for air quality at no loss in performance w/ just bolt ons), and any generic intake will do pretty much the same as the Injen or AEM units. Oh, and check out the search button up in the corner, it'll take .5 sec off your quarter mile time.

As far as intakes go this design is probably going to be your best bet. It's shorter and doesn't go over top of the radiator. Not to mention cheaper at any muffler shop where pipe can be mandrel bent.

This pic is on a SOHC but the principles should work on a DOHC. You'll need to relocate your battery.

The owner of this is on these boards somewhere... sorry I can't remember his name. He is only known to me by his bright green valve cover.
