hello everyone. i am going to the dealership to pick up my new Z tomorrow around noon. its a 2003, silver, with about 65k miles. ill post pics as soon as i get it back to the house. but right now, im currently in central texas, and am going on a road trip to south carolina for my first duty station. its about a 1100 to 1200 mile trip. i was wondering how everyone thinks the car would hold up on maybe a 1 night pit stop somewhere in georgia (fluids, overheating, etc)? i was also wondering if there where anyone around the sumter,sc area. ill be stationed in shaw for the next 2 years, so i thought itd be nice to meet some people with similiar likes as myself while im there.

hope you get a nice easy and safe ride... Z should be able to handle it as long as you can handle it. If you hit up the West Coast you lemme know.

Welcome to the Z family!

I don't live very close but do go to Charleston as a getaway from time to time. Next time I'm headed down I'll give you a heads up.

And welcome to NICO!

congrats on the new Z. and welcome to nico. i make 300 mile trips in my Z fairly regular without any problems. yours should do fine. however its not the most comfortable car to sit in for extended periods, and some say the ride is a little harsh due to the spring rates, but thats the trade off to owning a sports car. good luck and drive safe.

I drove from UT to CA with my Z doing 90mph the whole time. Took 9 1/2 hours and not a single problem from the Z.
