Is that an 85 or an 86? And how come the pass side fender skirt sticks out so far? You got the phone dials or the Fuchs??

I miss my 85. Lost her in the hurricane (Katrina for those who dont know).

actually its an 83 and i believe the fenders is a little warped im not sure why... its my everyday driver right now until the 180/240 project is donethe clutch is pretty messed up tho, when porsche made this model(n/a ... i wish i had the turbo....) they used a very different style clutch, intead of using springs to cusion the engagement they used rubber... which cracks over time so now the car feels like the u joints are destroyed but really its the clutch and inorder to replace it id have to take apart teh whole rear end since the transmission is in the back and if i were to replace it, id buy a turbo model clutch which are fairly expensive so in my mind id rather fix up my nissan lol

I've ALWAYS been a big 944 fan. If I could find one locally with a dash that's not completely cracked to hell and rusted to pieces, I'd pick it up.

Now that i see the antannae on the drivers side fender, i retract my original guess. lol.

I had an 85 1/2 (non turbo), and never had any problems with the clutch. Now the drive axles, on the other hand, i always had problems with. I had just finished replacing the timing belt, changing all the front oil seals, replaced both lower front ball joints, drivers side mirror, fixed the driver door lock, fixed the odometer (tiny plastic gear in the instrument cluster that breaks), and got a brand new leather shift knob and leather center console lid. Before i could even get her out of the garage, the hurricane hit. My place took 9 1/2 feet of water, and i was so close to Lake Pontchartrain, that it was brackish water, so metal parts rusted quite quickly. It had the fully electric factory Recaro seats. Those were awesome! I miss that car sometimes. But, if i had to leave town with just one car, its always gonna be my 240.
