I just picked up an 08 quest yesterday. And I'm a little bit remorseful. ...but thank God I found this site!
After scouring craigslist, and several makes of van. I saw quite a few but most were completely hammered. This quest while no cream puff, was deemed good enough.
At 155k it seems to run pretty good, but the front end is wonky. Between thus site and some youtube vids, I think I can restore this van enough for my wife and kids to destroy it...wish me luck.
BTW, I'm in Dallas, GA ...I saw someone mention a good indy in the ATL area. Lemme know!

I am in Cumming, GA and use an independent shop up here. That front end? If you can do it yourself, I'd just go get everything and replace it if you are keeping the car. I went all in on mine and had everything done within a short time period. Made a huge difference...I really like this van - it does...everything. It's not as multi-functional as my VW Eurovan Weekender was, but it's pretty close and a LOT more dependable..

Cumming, not exactly down the street but...closer than a lot of places in Georgia!

I'm a little concerned about the transmission. I believe the PO skipped all kinds of maintenance since he got it at 100k....and who knows about the Original owner?

The PO had a inspection sheet from a dealer, where they said the front control arms needed fixxing , but 7k additional miles were put on....I have one side done, and the old one, I could probably tear the rear mount off of it, the bushing is that bad.

Why am I not finding any info on the trans filter? Is it hard to access?

Do the 5 speed versions even have a replaceable trans filter? I was told they didn't.

Not likely. Usually, it's a metal "box" with some mesh inside, and can be serviced (cleaned with brake cleaner) and replaced.
