Hello everyone! I recently bought a Zenki S14 K's and Im still learning about the car. I would like to get some ideas from more experienced 240/silvia owners. Here's a pic of my car, currently with a veilside front bumper, cusco coilover suspension, blitz intake, grounding kit, blitz nur spec exhaust and blitz gauge.

Im going to be here in Japan for 3 more years and contemplated on putting money on this car and try to ship it back but I still want a skyline, at least an R33... also, Skylines (any model) are like mustangs here... damn things are everywhere.

Don't new Skylines retail for roughly twice that of a new Mustang though?

MAN! You don't really need to do anything to that car, (imo get a new bumper) but you have stock sr! Maybe bigger turbo. BUtdaaaym! Keep it and ship it! Then get your skyline. But if you're coming back to the US in three years, you can buy a skyline from motorex. Unless it' scheaper to ship it yourself, then go for it!

DON'T modify the car if u are looking to send it here!!! its not as easy as everyone thinks it is to get a car through customs......very rigid stuff!!! if u want buy the parts u want there and install them when u get back...i would sell the bumper and put the stock one back on...STOCK ROX.....especially JDM.....maybe i will buy a mustang and trade it to some japanes guy for a skyline......hmmmmmmm

Check this out, if its a single turbo skyline (R32) you can get it for $3000-$4000 but a GTR would cost you twice the amount (R33 from $5000-10000)R34 about $50,000-$75,000 on the GTR Vspec models. Standard shipping and legalization for Skylines from Japan is $15,000. I dont know how much Motorex charges but I heard the turn around is anywhere from 1-3 months. Having a GTR is something else or at least seeing them.. they are scary.

If its as expensive as shipping a skyline, I'll just tear the car apart and ship the motor and parts.

Do they rent skylines in Japan? That would be a good short fix for me, fly to japan and drive a skyline heh. Anyways, if you are looking to learn alot about your car, you found the perfect place. When I found this site I knew little about the 240sx, and now my friends say I talk like I have had one for years, lol. What are you looking to do with the car, that is the first step for deciding which mods you should work on. You planning on drifting, is it a daily drive, etc....
