Car: 2003 honda accord V6 running 302whp

Post

Hello, being only 18 years old I'm looking for a car that well be nice bang for my buck. I've been looking into the S14 240SX. What kinda power can this car produce without the V8 swap (although once I finish my automotive mechanic program next year I'd like to swap to a V8). More or less, how easy is it to make the stock motor a 300+whp motor? Seeing my current 03 accord V6 is running at about 300whp I wouldn't want to down grade. Thanks in advance.

Welcome. You could read all this for yourself with research but.......

Stock motor will need to be turbo'd to get to 300whp or swapped for a bigger motor that is either v6+ or another turbo'd motor. They can achieve 1000+hp with anymotor that can do it.

In most respects it will be a down grade from your accord. but it will be RWD. Yup.

240s are fast not because of big horsepower, but because they handle well. Its what I call the lotus effect. If you want straight line speed, stick with the accord. If you want o be able to take a corner at a decent speed, buy the 240. This is of course stock v stock. A 240 with a RB has plenty of straight line power even from a dig, and still whips around the corners. To reach 300hp, you will either need to rebuild and turbo the stock engine, or swap it out. Both will probably cost you the same amount of money. There are many write ups in the 240 section on how to do either one.
