hey everyone just thought i would sign up an introduce myself. i actually JUST bought my 240SX today!!! :ylsuper

Anyway i do have a questions about it already. It is a Super HICAS model and I was wondering what all that entailed? From what I have gathered so far its 4 wheel steering and LSD. Anything else?

Also just wanted to know if there is anything that I should watch for in the car since this is my first 240. THanks

Welcome and congrats on the new car.

Many people get kits to eliminate the HICAS because it can apparently feel out of step with the driver during high speed cornering. If you plan on driving it in a racing situation, that may be something to consider.

Good luck with the 240 holmes.

Thats weird that so many people eliminate it. I actually like it from what I have driven so far. Maybe its just from differant driving styles? I tend to push things hard when I corner and that was a major point as to why I bought the car. I loved how it handled. I'll take it out to my local track (PIR) and do a couple laps to see how it handles there but only after I have dialed it in a bit. It could be its just been so long since I have had a car that handles, I have been driving my truck for 3 years! I was missin my performance damn it...

cool thanks for the tip on the site. just got back from a rather fun drive in the car. i think i am in love with this thing lol.

again i do not see why people do not like the hicas, i took a few corners faster today then i use to with my old porsche. i didn't even feel like i was pushing the car as hard as i could have either.

No Stickersit wasn't supported by your sr engine? i thought it would just be a matter of a differant power steering pump? am i wrong? if so please let me know cause i planned on doing an sr next year.

downshiftthank you very much. i hope to have this car for awhile i love the way she handles and the fact she is still pulling strong. once i get the pics sized down a bit (right now they are huge you could make a poster outa them) i'll post one.

my hicas is still funcional with the sr in it. The usual people who remove either drift or plan on doing it. This is just me but i dont like teh feeling of my car being snapped in 2 during a drift.

EDIT: hey we have the same model!!111!!!:ylsuper

You have to remove it to turn it off, or if its not connected. Also, it can prevent ultra fun drifting.

On another note, you have to have the HICAS with ABS in order to have the VLSD option. You do you have ABS???
