new to the 240 world/start problems big start problems

hey im new to the forum world and new to the 240sx. i have a 91 240 and i am having some issues. when i got the car i bought the motor seperate and droped it in myself. hooked everything up and got it to start. it ran rough but it ran. my alternator went bad so i got a new one and now it wont start it will attempt to but it wont start. when i was messing with it reset the timing did top dead center and no dice. when i was messing with it last week i noticed raw fuel dripping out of my exhaust at a rapid rate. i have heard it could still be timing, it could be the ecm if 240s even have it. it could be bad injectors, and ive heard it all i just wanna know if any of you have had a similar problem or have any answers for me. by the way its a dohc.
