I havn't been here long but in the past week or so i've seen the forum get really really bogged down in flaming and/or stupid questions depending on whch side you are on.

Over at another site i used to post at they have a section specifically devoted to the new guys.

It's called Newbie Info and it actuially does attract most of the people who are new to forums and preformance cars. Lost of questions get answered politely and people feel more welcome. Kinda like an area where you can have training wheels before you get to the "real" forums.

I am one of the few (aparently) who doesn't mind and actuially enjoys explaining the simple things in life to people who are honeatly interested and don't want to do a lot of searching.

didn't really know where to put this for important people to see... hope they catch it...

Rob, welcome. Most of us value people who respect others and are willing to provide information to those in need. Also to correct us ill-informed in a polite manor. Sounds like you will be a benifit to NICO.

Again welcome.

Rob, your willingness to help the new members with basic questions is appreciated. If you DO see some objectionable material/flaming/bashing, you can use the "report this post" function.

No need to engage in a battle of wits against unarmed men.:D
