Thanx, Im getting pics but none as of yet, I bought the car for about 1700$ from this guy, but the car has oxidation on the room, not that bad though, and needs suspension really bad, and a new clutch

man my typing sucks today, on the roof. But the cool thing about the purchase, it comes with 2 brand new tires in the trunk, so i can Drift all day long and when my tires go, just put those on...

I'm his brother, I was the one that showed him the board...

This was his old car, w/o the chrome rims:

Any questions as to why it wrecked trying to drift? I think the solid rear axle may be to blame....hah

ive owned 3 domestics and they always have sucked compared to the 2 imports I had, in both handling and cost to keep them drivable. And they suck up your money like crazy...

Quote »im told AE86's had solid rear axles [/quote]When I say solid rear axle, singular, i mean that the entire rear drivetrain is one bar, from the left wheel to the right wheel, there's no flex. No independant rear-suspension....nascar style baby...

AE86 chassis is based on the older TE72, hence, 4 link live axle suspension with panhard rod.

Corollas in NASCAR? That ought to be interesting.

Whats wrong with live axles? Sure they ride rough and bounce all over the place, but you can't get any more laterally stiff than a with a solid bar! No need for wimpy anti roll bars!

Nice to have you here and welcome! My old car was a '79 Z28 that I drove the hell out of. It was a fun car but couldn't compare close to my '95 SE. Not knocking on domestics or anything...
