new to site..need help from experts..mafs problem possibly?

ok. my car idles fine, and if i ease into the gas it's fine..but as soon as i press down on the throttle, my car bogs down and dies.. i dont know what to do..i've had people tell me it might be the MAF or to check the ecu codes but i dont know how to do that.. im new to this car sh@t and need someone's expertise on how to solve my problem.

What kind of car is this? On the terribly unlikely chance that it's an S13, look here for info on checking ECU codes, as well as heaps of other valuable information.. --> http://www.240sx.org/faq/index.html

Start with the basics. Check fuel and air filters, spark plugs, give the exhaust the old sniff test.

Do you have a multimeter? You're going to need one if you are to test any of the sensors, including the MAF.
