Hi I'm new to the the site & I have a hid question. I recently got a 2011 Nissan Murano SL AWD (48,000miles) with the halogen headlights, I'm about to order a hid kit for headlights & fog lights but was wondering would I have a problem running a 55watt hid kit in the headlights or should I just go with a 35watt kit.

Thanks for any info.

Welcome aboard!

Typically, the higher-wattage HID kits create issues with the headlight harness for most Nissans. Unless it's a high-end conversion with provisions for heat dissipation, I'd stick to the 35w.

Yeah so... I tried a 35watt hid kit & couldn't see at night. I stay in the country so theirs no street lights. Factory bulbs are a lot brighter then a 35watt hid kit because the factory bulbs are 55watt. So I ordered 55watt ballasts, & a hid relay wiring harness. That should do the job. Also the halogen projectors suck, very poor lighting for them being factory. There are spots where the light doesn't even shine on the road, as if its being blocked. I'll soon upgrade to the factory hid headlight housings & hope there better quality because I'd hate to spend money on those when I can just retrofit these. I'll get back to you guys with the outcome...
