Hi all,

I recently bought what I intended to be a beater car(since most of my other cars are currently down)... it's a 1990 Nissan Sentra, with the GA16i...with almost 200k on everything... Well, after researching, I found out that the sentra can be a bad car if it's got a turbo sr20 under the hood....and once one of my other projects gets up and running, i'll begin on it...

NOW, my biggest question, what parts from the 91-94s match up with the 90 models...since I wanna put in a turbo SR I'm going to have to change off the front bumper thing for an FMIC...so, what all is the same/similar with the 90s and 91+s both body, suspension, AND underhood wise...... and thanks in advance all!

Well with that said. you are going to need to do some home work. the can of worms u are going to open is big.

mechnical wise its strait forward. u will need to fabracate the cross member and driver and passanger side mounts weld it to the car or make bolt on brakets. Use the se-r stick shift or mod the b12 one. Parts of the wiring harness,ECU, transmission, axles upgrade the brakes to the ad18ve(91SE-R) brakes or vb (88pulsarSE)or ad22 from the 91-94 NX2000.all the cooling system as well.... strait to the point the stick fwd and a grip of money and some time. there is alot more... trust me. u will spend ... ball park fig.. min. of 2500 for a DET set up if u do the work your self... i sure Boost_boy can add .. hey good luck . i can help u ,but i won't hold you r hand.

I was assuming about $2500 for a minimum budget anyway... I just didnt know what all I had to get that would match up with the b12...'cause i found loads of stuff for b13s, and was only guessing that there wasnt THAT much different...and I was honestly considering getting a half-cut for the sr20det(out of a bluebird), and putting the FWD 5spd from a sr20de onto it... i figure this'll give me most of the parts I need(or at least good bases for modding to fit) for the swap.

I'm not new to obscene motor swaps and whatnot, and I enjoy making things that are somewhat absurd.. i'm looking foward to this project if I can get the info. I need about what fits from other cars, so i can make a 'grocery list' of stuff I might wanna keep an eye out for in the junkyards....

The easiest option for a turbo motor in the B12 is the CA18DET.
