You will probably laugh but I am a real newb when it comes to Nissan and RWD. I plan on doing drags and possibly circuit racing eventually. But what I want to know is where I should shift at so I dont do a burnout when I launch. But I also dont want to bogg either. And how long did it take until people got used to their Z's, driving wise?

Nobody can tell you how to drive. You're just going to have to find your own method by trial and error. Rear wheel drive may be different from front wheel drive, but it's still a car.

OEM tires at the track = low RPM launching.

My first time at the dragstrip I tried to launch ak like 3krps and went sideways through 3rd.

Get used to your car before you take it on any track.

Try and find a local auto x to practice.

Good luck have fun and be safe!
