Hey there Nico, this is my first Nissan and so far I love it. I come from a long line of Civics, and Integras but ive always admired Nissan. :bigthumb: I havent heard of any problems with the Altima coupe...(to my knowledge), but I figured I'd ask the right people and get their advice. ANY advice or tips and tricks would be helpful.

Welcome!

Looks like you already have a definitive direction mod wise, wont chime in there.

As for things to watch for:
OEM battery is junk. Some members (including myself) have only gotten about 30K miles out of them
There was a notice sent (I forget the term for it, not a recall) detailing an issue with the brake master cylinder. If you notice the brake light (same one the illuminates with the e-brake on) illuminated randomly while driving or anytime the e-brake is not engaged, you may have a problem. Luckily Nissan is repairing this free of charge
Look for rust/bad welds inside the doors where the window pillar meets the body of the door. Again, some members have had issues while others are untouched

I cant really think of anything else at the moment that has been a documented common problem.

Welcome! CVT or MT?

I definitely recommend the Stillen header for the 2.5. Biggest power adder and better for the longevity of the engine (don't have to worry about precat deterioration, but this may have been worked out of that motor by now - was a major problem in the B15 Spec V Sentra and 02-06 Altima 2.5s).

In Japan Infinity doesnt exist....America got the Infinity G35 after Nissan released the Skyline 350GT. So its a real skyline and real Nissan.

yea I don't get why they switch to the nissan emblem. I think the infinity one looks better, I don't like having words in the emblem. The infinity symbol is clean.

For the JDM look. Same reason people put the Honda badge on a bunch of Acuras. In Japan, all Acuras are actually Hondas. Honda NSX, Honda Integra, so on and so forth. Also the Z's, are actually called fairlady z,and the 240 sx's are called Silvia.
