new to nissan,power possiblities

i've been reading up alot, now that i learned whats causing the problems in my '92 240sx and that they can be fixed I'm wondering what i should do next. It seems that the stock engine isnt that great for power, but im also on a budget so i don't think a full engine swap would be economical for me. Im just wondering are the stock engines really that hard to get good power from?

thats what i seem to be finding...either swap it or drive it with a turbo until it frys itself

im in the middle of rebuilding my ka24e (.020 over and lotsa other thingies ) and prepping it for boost..

so.. yeah.. if you dont take the time to do it right. when will you find the time to do it again?...
