Name's Joey and I'm buying a new car. The original plan was to stick to my love of boosted 240's and Supras, but I decided to be more conservative and buy something with a warranty, so I'm going with a 06 6MT G35. This one to be exact.

I was just wondering about general problems I might run into, and what mods I can do that will still be covered under warranty. Also I was told by a friend that if I did infact buy a turbo kit, aslong as I had the dealership install it, that it would be covered under the warranty.

Either way I'm looking forward to this car more than anything.

there are lots of people on this site with 03-04 g35s with 100k miles... the g35 is a very reliable car... i would look in the FAQ section of this forum... and in most people's signatures for mod ideas...

Sharp car! I purchased an 06 Laser Red coupe with 22K less than two weeks ago and am really enjoying the car. Mine is an automatic, but has the sport suspension package and 19" forged alloy wheels. One problem I did notice immediately after buying was a brake vibration when braking from freeway speeds such on on an off-ramp. Took it to the dealer and it needed pads on all four wheels and rotors up front. Dealer said that on those once the rotors are out of spec, they have to be replaced and can't be resurfaced. If you haven't already, you may want to take a test drive and do some hard braking to check for this as I didn't notice this during the quick test drive I took(had driven some G coupes before so was familiar with how the car performs) before buying.

You lucky SOB

When I was your age all I could afford was this POS

Except mine was black & white. It would never start on rainy days.

That was my first and last Ford.

My 06 G35 is the best vehicle I've ever owned and I've had lots of them.

Will turn 82k miles this weekend and no problems except for two TPS warning sensors and an air bag control module all replaced under warranty the first year.
